One professional developer needed 30 townhouses. The schedule was tight. Not to mention a single site entrance and overlapping civils, plumbers and drain layers on-site. To deliver on time, we worked with the engineers to time footing excavation to avoid weather delays and reduce the exposure to a wet Auckland winter. We poured the foundations and slabs all at once to improve efficiency and minimise the pour cost.
A Local Residential Builder needed foundations and a slab for a 414m2 high-end architecturally designed house with polished concrete floor. This finish requires perfect execution. To nail it, we needed all the cooks in the kitchen aligned. We corralled the builder, homeowner, concrete supplier, placer and concrete polisher to ensure the finished floor was a winner!
A commercial builder needed a 1483m2 insulated slab extension within their retirement village. The jobs were brought forward several months and on a tight timeframe. Our team’s agility helped move things around to hit the start date. We had to be smart. We used a mix of off-site fabricated cages, and design suggestions for more efficient construction (control joints). We enlisted Carters as our logistics partner to ensure we nailed it. And, we did it, we got the job finished two weeks early and at a reduced cost!
Working in an active retirement village meant there was more risk to manage. We took control and put our heads together with the project manager and some of the residents to ensure everyone was safe and understood the site etiquette. (We ended up with a pretty big smoko crew with the residents loving our team).
